The 9MB plasma spray gun is a multifunctional tool in the thermal spray industry, known for its high power and compatibility with various process gases such as argon, helium, hydrogen and nitrogen. It is available in machine-mounted and handheld variants, with the machine-mounted version weighing 3.6kg and the handheld version weighing 3kg. The 9MB series is a commonly used plasma spray gun, especially the Metco 9MB model, supplied by the Oerlikon Metco company.
9mb nozzle has two kinds of structure, one is pure copper, no tungsten inlay; one is copper inlaid tungsten nozzle.
For nozzles containing tungsten, we can back-cast the nozzle. The back casting cost is high, but the service life is also longer.
Copper-inlaid tungsten nozzle advantage
♦By embedding tungsten into the copper nozzle, copper ejection can be eliminated.
♦Compared with copper, tungsten has higher wear resistance, so it performs better in the plasma arc, so they can help control the process offset to extend the use time.
♦Compared with the standard 9MB nozzle, the life of the tungsten-containing nozzle is longer, which can reduce the maintenance of the spray gun.
♦Can reduce waste, reduce the number of nozzle replacement.
